The Nanchang Q-5 (Fantan-A) is a Chinese single-seater attack aircraft armed with two 23 mm cannon in the wing roots and up to 2000 kg of disposable stores carried in the under-fuselage weapons bay and on eight hard points, two tandem pairs under the fuselage and two under each wing. The Q-5 is a radical Chinese development of the Mikoyan-Gurevich Mig-19, itself in production and under continued development in China as the Shenyang J-6 series. Research Nanchang Q-5
The Shenyang J-5 (Farmer) is a Chinese single-seater fighter, ground-attack and reconnaissance warplane based on the SovietMig-19 that first entered service in 1962. The Shenyang J-6 is powered by two Limming (LM) Wopen-6 turbojets providing a top speed of Mach 1.59 and a range of 685 km typically, depending upon load. Armaments consist of three 30 mm Type 30-1 cannons mounted in the starboard lower nose and in the wing roots up to 500 kg of disposable stores carried on two or four under-wing hard points.
