Depth charges were an anti-submarine bomb invented by the British in 1916 and consisting of a steel drum, about the size of an oil drum, packed with TNT and dropped over the side of the ship. A preset timer would detonate the charge at a desired depth and damage or destroy the submarine.

The DT 11B1 is a German offensive hand grenade consisting of 200 grams of TNT packed into a cardboard cylinder with an attached detonator and 4.5 second delay fuse. The grenade is designed for use by infantry who need to advance quickly after detonation, and as such the killing area is small without fragments which could injure the advancing troops.

F1 HAND GRENADE

The F1 Hand Grenade is a Soviet fragmentation hand grenade developed during the Second World War. The F1 Hand Grenade consists of an egg-shaped steel case notched into cubes and containing 60 grams of TNT. The F1 Hand Grenade is fitted with a 3.2 to 4.2 second delay fuse and has a killing zone of between 15 to 20 metres around the point of detonation, and can prove lethal at up to 200 metres from the point of detonation due to splinters emitted from the base plug and filler.

The GME-FMK2-MO is an Argentinean fragmentation hand grenade. The GME-FMK2-MO consists of a metallic body packed with a mixture of recrystallised hexogene and TNT providing a killing radius of five metres from the point of detonation. The GME-FMK2-MO has a 3.6 to 4.5 second delay fuse.

M42 GRENADE

The M42 Grenade is a Hungarian stick-type offensive or blast hand grenade. The M42 Grenade comprises a steel can containing 134 grams of TNT atop a wooden stick, and is fitted with a 3.5 to 4.5 second delay fuse. The M42 Grenade may be joined end-to-end with other M42 Grenades to form a demolition charge.

MN-1 GRENADE

The MN-1 Grenade is a Spanish multi-purpose grenade designed for hand and rifle propelling, as either a blast or fragmentation grenade. The MN-1 Grenade contains a 155 gram TNT explosive charge, and can be made into a fragmentation grenade by the addition of a fragmentation coil around the body of the grenade. The MN-1 Grenade is fitted with a dual five second delay and percussion fuse.

The No 14 Hand Grenade is an Israeli offensive or blast hand grenade. The No 14 Hand Grenade comprises 200 grams of TNT flakes packed into a cardboard cylinder. The No 14 Hand Grenade is fitted with a 4.5 second delay fuse and is designed for use by advancing infantry, having a small killing radius and no fragments which could injure closely following troops.

The PRB 8 is a Belgian bivalent hand grenade. The PRB 8 consists of a thermoplastic case containing 80 grams of TNT and a fragmentation sleeve of square section steel wire, pre-notched and spirally wound. The PRB 8 is fitted with a 4.5 second fuse. It has a lethal radius of 12 metres and a safety radius of 40 metres.
