The Thomson-Brandt 60 mm Light Mortar is a French light mortar designed by Hotchkiss-Brandt in 1963. the Thomson-Brandt 60 mm Light Mortar has a 724 mm long barrel and a minimum range of 100 metres and a maximum range of 2000 metres. The Thomson-Brandt 60 mm Light Mortar was designed to fire the Hotchkiss-Brandt Mk 60/61 mortar bomb which contains 31 grams of TNT, and the mortar will also fire other 60 mm calibre mortar bombs including those designed for the Thomson-Brandt Commando Type V mortar and the old type American 60 mm mortar bomb.

The Thomson-Brandt Commando Type V has a short barrel and a fixed firing pin which causes the muzzle loaded bomb to be fired as soon as it reaches the bottom of the barrel. The Thomson-Brandt Commando Type V has a minimum range of 100 metres and a maximum range of 1050 metres and a rate of fire of 20 rounds per minute.
