Francis Beaumont was a British dramatist. He was born in 1584 at Gracedieu in Lincolnshire and died in 1616. He studied at Oxford and entered the Inner temple in 1600. At the age of sixteen he published a translation, in verse, of Ovid's fable of Salmacis and Hermaphroditus, and before nineteen became the friend of Ben Jonson. With John Fletcher also he was early on terms of friendship. He married Ursula, daughter of Henry Isley of Sundridge, in Kent, by whom he left two daughters. MargaretUrsula Mee was an English botanical artist. She was born in 1909 and died in 1988. In the 1950s she went to Brazil, where she accurately and comprehensively painted many plant species of the Amazon basin. She is thought to have painted more species than any other botanical artist. Ursula was an English Virgin martyr and the patron saint of maidens. She is said to have been the daughter of a Cornish prince in the 5th century, and to have fled with her friends to Gaul to escape the Saxon invaders of Britain. After a visit to Rome she is reported to have been slain with many others by the Huns about 453, near the banks of the Rhine, and to have been buried at Cologne. Best known for co-starring as the long-suffering wife in the television series 'Bless This House', she is less well known for providing the singing voice for Lana Turner in the 1954 film 'Betrayed' and for Ursula Andress in the 1962 film 'Dr No'.
