The palatopharyngeal arches are located near the uvulae and palate. On each side of the base of the uvulae are two curved folds of mucous membrane called the palatopharyngeal arches.

The uvulae is a small conical prolongation from the middle of the soft palate.
Research Uvulae
The uvulae muscle (azygos uvulae; palatouvularis) is a small muscle that originates from the nasal spine and inserts in the tissue of the uvulae. The uvulae muscle is innervated by the pharyngeal plexus.
