Datapost is a Royal Mail fast postal service for packages weighing up to 27.5 kg. The same-day door-to-door service by radio-controlled motorcycles and vans is more expensive than the overnight service, which guarantees next-day delivery to any point in Britain. There is also a Datapost International Service, which operates to many countries.

The Ford Escort was a very popular range of small cars and vans produced from 1980. The Ford Escort cars were produced in a range of engine sizes ranging from 1.3 litres in the popular models providing a top speed of about 93 mph, through to the 2.0 litre Cosworth models providing a top speed in excess of 125 mph.

Vauxhall (known in Europe as Opel) are a British motor car manufacturing firm (now owned by General Motors) which was established at London in 1903. Vauxhall is primarily concerned with the production of affordable, everyday domestic motor cars and vans.

Hermann Boerhaave was a Dutch physician. He was born in 1668 and died in 1738. Destined for the clerical profession, in 1682 he was sent to Leyden to study theology. In 1689 he received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, soon after he started studying medicine around 1690 and in 1693 was made Doctor of Medicine at Harderwyck and in 1701 the University of Leyden chose him to deliver lectures on the theory of medicine. In 1709 he was appointed to the chair of medicine and botany. He now published his Institutiones Medicae in Vans Aimuse Exercitationis, and Aphorismi de Cognoscendis et Curandis Morbis in Usum Doctrinse Medicinae, the former expounding his medical system, the latter classifying diseases and treating of their cause and cure. In 1714 he was made rector of the university, and soon after appointed to the chair of practical medicine. He was also appointed professor of chemistry. His fame brought people from all parts of Europe to ask his advice.
