VALENTIN G FARIAS

The Valentin G Farias is an American-built Mexican patrol ship of 1090 tons displacement built during the Second World War as the USS Starling and sold to Mexico in 1973. The Valentin G Farias is powered by two diesel-electric engines providing a top speed of 18 knots and a range of 4300 miles at 10 knots. She carries a crew of 105, including nine officers and is armed with one 3 inch calibre anti-surface gun and four Bofors 40 mm/56 anti-aircraft guns arranged as two twins and also two Oerlikon 20 mm guns.
