The Hesketh Vortan is a very limited edition hand-made British motorcycle produced to customer orders by Broom Development Engineering. The Hesketh Vortan is based upon the Hesketh Vulcan, but each individual bike is hand tailored to the desires of the buyer.

The Hesketh Vulcan is a British, hand-made sports-tourer motorbike powered by a 1200 cc engine providing a top speed of about 120 mph and a fuel consumption of 50 mpg. The Hesketh Vulcan was first produced in 2006.

Sir Walyer Besant was an English novelist. He was born in 1836 and died in 1901. Educated in London and at Christ's College, Cambridge, where he graduated with mathematical honours. He was for a time professor in the Royal College, Mauritius.
His first work, Studies in Early French Poetry, appeared in 1868, and to the field of French literature also belong his French Humorists and his Rabelais (for the Foreign Classics series). He was for years secretary to the Palestine Exploration Fund, and has published a History of Jerusalem in connection with Professor Palmer, a biography of whom he also wrote. He is best known by his novels, a number of which were written in partnership with James Rice, including Ready-Money Mortiboy; This Son of Vulcan; The Case of Mr. Lucraft; The Golden Butterfly, The Monks of Thelema; etc. After the death of James Rice in 1882 he wrote All Sorts and Conditions of Men; All in a Garden Fair; The World Went very Well Then; The Rebel Queen; etc.

Leonard Nimoy is an American actor. He was born in 1931 at Boston Massachusetts. Starting acting at the age of eight, he moved to Hollywood when he was eighteen, making his film debut with a small part in the 1951 'Queen For A Day'. He is best remembered for his portrayal of 'Mr Spock' the Vulcan in the TV series 'Star Trek'.

Wieland in a trial of merit, clove Amilias, fellow smith, through steel helmet and armour down to the waist; but the cut was so fine that Amilias was not even aware that he was wounded until he attempted to move, where upon he fell into two pieces.

The M163A2 (Vulcan air-defence system) is an American anti-aircraft gun carrier. The M163 is comprised of an M113 APC with an M61A1 Gatling gun mounted on the roof. The A2 version improved the fire control system by integrating the ranging radar with a ballistic computer. The M163 series carry a crew of four, comprised of a commander, gunner, loader and a driver. The M163 has a maximum speed of 67 kmh and a range of 83 km.

The M168 is an American six-barrelled Gatling type automatic cannon based on the General Electric M61A1 Vulcan aircraft gun, but modified for ground use. The M168 takes a 20 mm cartridge and fires at a selectable rate of between 1000 and 3000 rounds per minute.

The general Electric M197 is a lightweight three-barrelled variant of the M61A1 Vulcan 20 mm cannon optimised for fitting to helicopters. It has a rate of fire variable between 400 and 3000 rounds per minute and a muzzle velocity of 1030 metres per second.
