The Vz 27 was a Czechoslovakian blowback operated semi-automatic pistol first manufactured before the Second World War, with many being adopted for use by the German army during the Second World War under the designation Pistol 27 (t). The Vz 27 was chambered for the 7.62 mm cartridge which it took from an 8-round box magazine. It had a blade foresight and notch rearsight and an effective range of 40 metres. The Vz 27 had a muzzle velocity of 299 metres per second and an effective rate of fire of 30 rounds per minute.
