The Yakovlev Yak-16 was a Soviet twin-engined medium feeder-line transport aircraft first displayed outside of the Soviet Union in 1948, and in service with Aeroflot during the 1950's. The Yak-16 was a low-wing cantilever monoplane of metal construction powered by two Ash-21 seven-cylinder air-cooled single-row radial engines providing a top speed of 310 kmh and a range of 1000 km.
