The Yakumo was a Japanese coast defence and training ship of 9010 tons displacement launched in 1899. The Yakumo was powered by six Yarrow coal-fired boilers providing a top speed of 16 knots. She carried a complement of 698 and was variously armed during her life with four 8 inch guns; twelve 6 inch guns; four 3 inch guns and four 18 inch torpedo tubes. Research Yakumo
