YAMASIRO

The Yamasiro was a Japanese battleship of 29330 tons displacement launched in 1915. The Yamasiro was powered by 24 Miyabara boilers, replaced in 1933 with eight Kanpon oil-fired boilers providing a top speed of 22.5 knots. She carried a complement of 1272 and was armed with twelve 14 inch guns; eighteen 6 inch guns; eight 5 inch anti-aircraft guns; twenty-six machine-guns; six 21 inch torpedo tubes and carried three aircraft.
