Zabrus is a genus of beetles of the ground beetle family, Carabidae. One species, Zabrus tenebrioides is found in Britain (though it is very rare) and has an unusually convex, deep and clumsy body. They are vegetarian, the larvae often doing serious damage to the young shoots of cereal plants while the adults eat the grains of corn. Research Zabrus
